    1943-s DDO-001 PCGS MS64 cherrypick

    Additional Information
    Date: 1943
    Variety: DDO
    Mint: San Francisco

    Here's a 1943-S DDO-001 FS-101 I bought recently for $15. It's a bit spotty, but definitely worth the price of admission!

    Another great pick Dan.
I have to ask what you were able to spot on the sellers listing that told you this one was DDO-001?

    Nice pick!

In a way I think it's a good grade to collect these in, you get it cheap and it already has a little spotting but still nice enough and you don't need to worry like if I had a spotless high grade I'd be worried at the first sign of spots so with this one you have nothing to worry about.

On this coin I saw shadowing to the lower right of the 9. Suspecting a possible DDO, I looked for markers. I saw a nice die crack on the lower jacket/lapel which I compared to CONECA's listings and it matched one of their die stages for DDO-001.

Thanks I wondered about that spot on the 9.
I saw that little bit of shadowing in your link. But I would not have even noticed it if I didn't already know it was a DDO.
