Answered: 1971D "MM has something poking out of its top"

Any ideas what this is poking out of the top of the MM on this '71 or is it just some odd damage... Looks like an antenna with an antenna ball atop lol

But still, I have a feeling it might be damage, the coin has a lot of hits and notice that right in that area on the top of the D it sort of looks like a section of the D is almost gone, maybe it was lucky damage and that is a sheared section of the D. Maybe a poke with a toothpick would move it or make it fall off."

Is it raised? If so, it is probably a small die crack/chip.

I can't really tell from the pics if it is raised or not. If incuse, then yeah, just a hit from something.
