Okay, thank you Ed! So... I guess after the coin is struck the Mint will use a laser micro engraver to apply some sort of anti-counterfeiting security mark somewhere on the reverse. That's pretty cool!Comment

The bummer is, it sounds like only dealers will have a way to read it to verify it. Normal buyers will not and will only be able to trust big dealers that use it. On ebay or small sales and shows we are still at the mercy of our own ability to tell what is real. The other issue is that older dates will be harder to sell because they don't have the features.Comment

I never considered that... Doesn't sound rite to me that only dealers would be able to tell but you may be correct... The older dates I have no idea on...
