    Hello all,
I'm fairly new here. I've been collecting for about 2 years. Off and on, many times life seems to put coins on hold. But I do have a modest collection going. Mostly lincoln cents, but do have other coins I've run across sprinkled in.
My knowledge of the lincoln cent is growing by the day but am also willing to admit that I have a very long way to go.
Looking forward to seeing all of you here.

A good wife is worth it's weight in gold, those coins though, that's a real bonus! Glad to have you here, many good and very sharp folks here, look forward to seeing your finds. Welcome to the forum!

                    Quick Update

Time has not been my friend, I have not been able to go through much of the bag as of yet. Have found a couple Wheaties and a few neatly toned Zincolns, lots of my birth year, 1977, and surprisingly more 2009 than i would have guessed, but nothing that really jumps out.

                    I'll keep yall posted.

Careful which pronouns you use Jon. She could come back to haunt you. LOL

Well, I'm 99% the way through the bank bag.
Although I found a couple new additions to my folder, and a few upgrades, there really was nothing to write home about. Certainly nothing worth posting a pic for. I also found very few wheat cents, 4 to be exact. But lots of copper. Thanks all for your encouragement, I look forward to the next bag of coins.

Cautionary note: for current coins [70's - present] a vast majority of errors, varieties, etc. are going to be on coins made in Philadelphia: The Denver mint produces very few collectible coins [i.e. errors/varieties]. Because of your geographic location, approximately 98% of the coins you will get [normally] will likely be from Denver.

I state this not to dissuade you from searching but, to just be aware of options/opportunities to adjust your search. In order to find items of interest it is often necessary to have many [dozens/hundreds] to search.

I am NW of you and I found that I do not get Philadelphia-minted coins in decent quantities going as far back as the 70's so I found it necessary to adjust my searching to what I can readily get.

                          Good luck in your searches.

Good post. Why do you suppose that is?

Why Denver produces less collectible coins? Why we don't get a mix?

Either one I could take a guess, but don't know a definite reason.

But the issue of "very few P coins" does go back many decades.
