Get a good certified 1922 no D strong reverse and let Ray photograph it for die erosion/polishing.
But...I guess if you have one, you're probably not much interested in possibly debunking it, even if it would also possibly verify it. .

I thought some of the no Ds were known to be from die polishing or wear???

FYI - a forum member on the PCGS site name CaptHenway is writing book on the 1922 D cents. I would think it will be out in under 2 years. Not sure if he has been in touch with Ray about any photography but I know there has been a lot of research and time spent on it so far.
