    Nice coin T. Did you pick it up?

    This would be an error coin since it was double-struck.
    I wonder if the method of striking was by hand or if they had the new-fangled steam-operated presses. I can't imagine being the new guy who was stuck with the task of placing the planchets while pushing the struck coins out of the way... before the anvil die came down. Ouch!

    I bet there were a lot of guys with the nickname "Stubby".
