Looks like the residue from soaking in the acetone dried on the coin.
I haven't seen this happen before.
I did have some mint grease dissolve in the solution once that affected the color/mint luster on some BU red coins when I forgot to rinse it off after soaking. Argh!
Have you tried xylene or solvent with a sonic jewelry cleaner to remove the residue?

Make sure the acetone is pure. The ladies like perfume and other crap added. The only thing that is suppose to be in it is the fed required "onion smell' to prevent kids from drinking the stuff.

Yep, it was the good stuff [from the hardware store]
ALWAYS well seal your container when using solvents so they don't evaporate and redeposit the junk. If you really want to try to bring it back, I suggest a diluted vinegar soak for an hour. Rinse well with tap water then soak in distilled water for a couple of hours after.
