No one's trying to rip anyone off look around eBay there's other postings with the same coin in the same condition or worse than mine with those others the asking price for many is 5 to 900 dollars so I advise you to shut your mouth unless you're going to go b**** at every single one of those other m************ on here that has even worse condition than I have posted for more have a nice day

I am afraid to say that that coin is only worth 3 cents worth of copper, most all the 1982-D large date cent were made of copper! I would like to know where you get that value, maybe if it was a MS-70 coin, but yours is no where near that. I have a good mind to report you for trying to rip off people.

Here you go bud, this is the same coin that you are selling, only it is in mint condition for a $1.60, which one would you buy? $1.60 or $300?

ebay always lists the highest price items first so they can make more money, doesn't mean they are selling though.
you are not the only one I try to help. Have a great day, I won't email again....

Let's face it - it's a different crowd of coin sellers on eBay these days. The $2000 1942 cents, the PMD posted as rare Doubling, the list goes on and on. At first, I thought it was the change that eBay made to simplify listings. Ya know- they ask what are you selling, and you say 1955 cent and then they populate several previous sellers postings which include 1955 DDO, and the person sees the listing for $2000 and list there's at that price also. OR, it's just scammers. Either way, I do not see serious buyers flocking to eBay - it's basically the low rent district of coin selling and buying. JMHO.

Ebay should add a button to the "Buy it Now", "Add to Cart",
"Add to watchlist", etc that says "Mock This Seller"!
I would sooo "Click" that button!!!

A few of the sites I moderate on has blocked even mentioning the 82D small date copper.
The biggest issue I've seen is that so many people are getting their "coin information" from YouTube videos. Most of those are put together by people that don't have a clue about coins.
