1964 D DDR I almost threw in the copper bin

    Additional Information
    Date: 1964
    Variety: DDR
    Mint: Denver
    Coneca: 3-R-II
    Coppercoins: 1964D-1DR-003

I saw die deterioration and MD and was about to toss in my copper bin when I decided to take a second look and glad I did. Between deterioration and wear it was hiding but I was able to find one of the two markers to confirm. Sorry for the pics, it was tough to get photos of this one.http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/d...&die_state=mds

    Thanks for looking, Jon.

Thanks Viv!! I think the deterioration does something to the way the light reflects. It was very hard to get any clear pics of this one.

Sorry to say but yours doesn't look like CCs 003 http://www.coppercoins.com/lincoln/d...&die_state=lds Yours is the wrong color Nice save on that one... With the circ wear on yours I probably wouldn't have notice the DDR!!!

You know Jon, I have come to the conclusion that every Lincoln cent has a distinct personality and therefore poses different challenges when trying to capture photos! That is where learning different techniques really helps and you are doing a fine job!

I would have to agree on the distinct personality, not so sure about the "fine job" or the earlier comment about the "eagle eye" but I appreciate it.

Jon has definitely put his talents searching Morgan VAMS to good use here.
There are some minute details on those Morgans that differentiate one variety from another just like our favorite series.
