    1955 Canadian cent with MC

What does the MC on the bottom of the bust mean? I guess I have just never noticed it.

Sheila, Coins and Canada is where you can get your answer. By the way the 1955 NSF is the 2nd most valuable Canadian cent after the 1858. Check it out.

Got my curiosity Shelia, there's a 1955 No Shoulder Fold worth some bucks. Is that what you have?

Here's one of the links I found. But still can't find out who the designer was of this coin to know what MC stands for.

None of these websites have anything about what the MC is or means. I am so confused now. Lol.

If I'm not mistaken, I think the initials KG is the designer initials. Maybe I'm wrong though.

I emailed Coins and Canada and asked them. It was not in their glossary.

After thinking about it some more I think it might mean Monarch Canada. Just a guess.

Edit: Maybe M.C. are the initials of the person who designed the bust of Elisabeth.
