Answered: Pair of 78Ds with a weak strike???

I pulled 2 78Ds from 2 different rolls out of the same batch of Loomis rolls I have... They are even the same die (I did a date/MM overlay) and both look to be weak strikes but I am not sure??? They both have what looks to be a secondary rim on the obv and rev that completes a complete 360... I did a 3D image of the north rim (obv ) south side (rev) to show what they look like... I also found a 76D and a 77P from 2 other rolls of the same batch... All comments welcome!!!

Ok Bob... Thank you... I wasn't sure at all... Pretty cool tho that from 2 different rolls I would find 2 40 year old coins from the same die and looking the same!!!

Jim, I've got to ask if you have checked for RPM's on the '78D.
Because it looks like a remnant of the top loop sticking east from the top of the first one and even more pronounced on the second.
(Or am I seeing things again?)

I believe that is just a combo of PSD and die wear... Notice all the lines around the 9 of coin 2 and the hits MM on both coins... I did not look until you mentioned thanks bro

    You know it Bro.
That was why I thought #2 was a later die state because of die wear and flow lines but thought it was a short "flag" of a secondary MM east on #1.

2 is later die stage... 2 also has some of the abrasions from around the 9 and 7 on coin 1... Just a little hard to see thru the heavy lines... Hits have taken a toll on both MMs!!!
