Is there tell tell signs if a coin has been cleaned, these appear to have been cleaned but im not sure.

In the 70s I remember looking for wheaties and every one I found got erased with an eraser until it looked like a salmon then put in my blue coin folder. What a shame.
I think it was very common back then. They even sold coin erasers where they sold the folders.
Now they've had 40-50 years to tone but still show a shiny surface and off color.
