Hey everyone, I just wanted an opinion on this 1964 Lincoln cent. It appears to have Wavy Steps, and I have not seen one this old. Any help?

I don't see any wavy steps. Compare it to another 1964 coin and see if you notice a difference (other than the customary weakness of the steps).

It's a bird! It's a plane! Aw nuts... It's merely two die scratches!

As I understand it, wavy steps originate from design elements (such as the columns) "bleeding" (my term) extending, into the lower elements (steps). This doubling disrupts, distorts, the normal flow of the steps and makes them "wavy". This coin does not exhibit these characteristics. So, in my op. the steps cannot be wavy.Comment
