I've started collecting when I was around 12.
Didn't come back to it until '99.
I collect key date coins, error coins and error currency.
My favorite is the 55/55 DDO.
I have one in AU-55 and another in MS-64 RED(both PCGS)
I also own a 72/72 DDO in MS-66 RED(PCGS).
Over the last week I have been looking through the general discussion area.
Some of you guys really have luck finding some unusual Lincolns that I have never seen before.
So,I have a poll question for all of you:
What is the earliest date Lincoln you have ever received in change.
I received a 1910 within the last year.

First off Welcome! You have collected some nice coins over the years. 55 is a desired coin of mine. I have found a 1919 P in change this year, badly worn but readable. I am glad you decided to pull up a chair at the LCR.

Hey, welcome to the forum! The two big DDOs sound nice!

From pocket change? '09s on occasion - I did find a few IHCs when I was younger, but it has been long time and I cannot recall the years...

Welcome aboard!

Oldest Lincoln found in rolls: 1913
Oldest Lincoln picked up off the floor: 1945-S
In regular pocket change: Can't remember, but it probably was in the 1930's.

As I just posted, I found a 1910 the other day in a roll from Wells Fargo.

As a kid (in the 50's and 60's), I found several common Indian Heads in rolls from our local Canadian banks (as a border community, our coins were a mix of US and Canadian) and I would grab a few rolls every time we ventured across the border into Minnesota (Grand Marais or Duluth, usually).

By the way, I live in California now, but vacation in Canada almost every year.

As a side note, I am off to Hawaii tomorrow. While Kauai is not known as a mecca of numismatics, I will still probably grab a roll or two to have a peak at what is floating around the Central Pacific.

Welcome Tom.
I agree...you have some great DD! My oldest found cent is the 1917. It's pretty worn but it was nice to find an old one.
I like the way you opened up the discussion! You got a lot of responses! NICE!
