1983 DD Obv. DDO 3 FS#1-035.2 [3-O-V ].

Found this in a bank roll. Ive been trying to match it. On coppercoins it looks like it could be 1DO-008 but an EDS, The doubling looks a lot clearer on this coin. In CPG it looks like it could be FS#1-035.2 [3-O-V ] just not sue if it is one of these or a different one. There is no doubling on the date. Any help would be appreciated.

If it is not DDO 1, then it has to be DDO 3 FS#1-035.2 [3-O-V ]. See page 149 of the CPG.

I have a later die on DDO 3 FS#1-035.2 (3-0-V) with a die break in the lower "8" of the 1983... Mine has heavy NW-SE die scratches on the lower reverse. Heavy die scratches right behind the head and shoulder that run through the "Y" of liberty, they run the same direction as the shoulder. His postition looks right for die 3 but I don't have the coin in hand so it's a guess....

This coin has very little die scratches and has sharp detail, thats why i think its a EDS. Im leaning toward 3-0-v myself.

I took my 1983 3-0-V out to take a look and to refresh my memory....

Yours is indeed a 1983 3-0-V and an EDS
