Came across this one while recently going through a roll of solid-date coins. Seems to be some thickness on the dots and the motto, but didn't see any listings for class-6 doubled dies on Coppercoins. Could this be a new one or am I just seeing things? Thanks!

Interesting. Let's wait and see what the pros say.

I'm guessing a ddr, it looks like there is some separation there! Nice Find!:tinysmile_classes_t

There is a Class 6 DDR for 1940S on coppercoins (1DR-003). There are also class 2 DDRs that could end up looking like Class 6 on a circ coin. Yours is definitely a DDR as well. Try matching them up again...OK?

Thanks, guys. Bob - I can't believe I missed the listing, thanks for pointing me in the right direction! I checked this one aginst the listed one and couldn't line up any of the markers. I did take a good look at mine and have attached a few pics of some possible markers, could this just be an earlier die state?

It does appear to be an early die state; the lower serifs on the 4 digit are well defined.

You might check the other 4 class 2 DDR's on CC. Like Bob said, a class 2 could eventually look like a class 6 as a coin wears down with circulation. If you still can't find any markers, then take a look at the MM location. If you are familiar with doing overlays then that will help give a more precise match. When nothing else works, send it in for attribution.

Good, solid advice from Rock. If you still can't attribute it, I will be happy to do so for you.
