I believe this is MD only but I have noticed many MD upon 69 S but never on the L in Liberty. I didn't want to take many pictures of this coin because of the MD shown in the 9. But wanted more opinions anyway.

Yep, MD on this coin. MD can be anywhere or everywhere. I wish it didn't pop up so often, but it does. Keep up the hunt!

Chris, Yes the "L" is MD. Always remember if the doubling you are seeing is flat / shelflike and does not have any raised elements it is most likely Machine Damage. Keep looking - they are everywhere and with time you'll find them...
Machine doubling. Save these examples so you familiarize yourself more with what machine doubling looks like.
