Just found this roll searching I cant tell if its a 88 RDV. it doesn't look like the other 88's I have seen.

there are plating issues that are making hard for me to match die scratches and die markers.

I need to get a better photo setup I'm having the hardest time getting good pics on shinny coins.

Those photos are pretty good as I can definitely see what you are referring to. Unfortunately, the examples shown are RDV-005, the normal reverse for the date.

So is it Die deterioration that is making it look like there is a hook on the G?
I took like 20 shot's of the FG just to get 2 good ones.:LOL_Hair:

Pretty soon, you will be taking pics like a pro. Just practice. Digital photos definitely are a lot cheaper than the film we used to have to use.

I shouldn't have edited my post. But is it die deterioration that is making it look like the G has a hook on it?

Actually, the font is normal. The determining factor, and probably a better portion of the initial to look at is the upper loop of the G. The RDV-005 has the upper loop the entire width of the letter, whereas the RDV-006's loop only extends about half way over the entire letter. That little 'hook' is more prevalent on EDS coins, but is not nearly as pronounced as it is on RDV-006 coins.
