THE WELL HASN'T GONE DRY YET; JUST FOUND MY 9th 1984P DDO IN LESS THAN 20 YEARS OF SEARCHING. UNFORTUNATELY THIS ONE IS NOT VERY NICE.

You are the king of 1984 doubled ears George. I found my 1st over a year ago and still feel the tingly excitement within. Congrats.

Wow Congratz!!!!...I 've only find 1 and thats after just learning about this doubled die.I remember the day all to well.I was on the phone with my friend while searching a bag of loose cents and there it was.I started screaming.Oooops I shouldnt have said I screamed ,not to manly..:LOL_Hair:

I CHECK EVERY 1984 FOR THE DDO'S AND THE BACK FOR THE REVERSE FOR THE DDR. NOT A SINGLE DDR YET. WHICH IS SCARCER?

Congrats 9 in 20 years! We are at 3 in 3 years - maybe 4.
I still think that what I have read about populations that it should be priced higher. You can buy a nice au for about 75 dollars!

I think it all has to do with location. I read that Springville, N.Y. was a main area for these to appear. I've found all but 1 of these from banks within 40 miles of there.
