Is this a double die or omm ?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Mike

Its not a doubled die or an omm or an rpm. It looks like a die gouge below the mint mark.

Being it is an 82+ example, and those years are known for bad plating problems, I think it might be a plating bubble, cause by improper bonding of the copper plating to the zinc core. Unfortunately way too many nice coins have this unfortunate problem.

Jean,
yeah that was my first thought too because of the frequency, but as i studied the pics i couldn't get a good read due to the blurriness of the photos, until i got to #5. This was the most clear of the photos and based on that pic and the shape and height of the anomoly below the MM, I couldn't see that as plating buildup but something more substantial.
Not saying i was right, Only explaining my decision process.

Looks like blistered plating to me. Enjoy! :D

Instead of a blister caused by weak bonding to the underlying zinc, it's more likely a blister pushed up by subsurface corrosion that occurred in the aftermath of a microscopic split in the plating.
