Is this just a die gone bad on the last 8 it looks like it skid across.and reverse in between pilers.just air bubbles maybe? any Ideas

This one is showing exposure to either chemical or maybe just awful plating issues. It is showing a blistered surface which is common to the 80's decade.

One more question on this none of my other 88's iv got show the D so far to the right Is this any thing or is this normal.

TJW this is considered very normal with all mint marks .It can be left or right below the date. Some are even found between the date while a select few are horizontal on other dates.

Would it be possible to get a closeup of the inits on the rev??? I agree with Lucien you have plating issues and the MM is normal!!!

tjw, if it helps, the mint marks were added by hand until 1990 (I believe) which accounts for a lot of the differences you see, so acceptable location has a pretty wide range. If you see any horizontal MM's , they are keepers.
