Double eye question

I have a few of these of different years...are these typical anomalies or are they doubled eyes?

It doesn't look like your standard doubled eyelid Aisha. You said you have a few from different years? Can you post some of those pics? I am not so sure about this one.

That one honestly looks like a hit to me. Like Bob said, it doesn't look like the typical doubled eyelid. Here's a 1956.

I think that's a hit... I see what appears to be a hit running NE from the front of the eyelid... I could be seeing double... LOL!!!

aisha, i dont think its a hit on a lot of my early wheats, tons in 1911, 14, 16,17,and 19 have this anomalie. the anomalie then for me shows back up in coins in the early 40s and mid 50s.

It might be part of the design, distorted from circulation. It is unconventional eye doubling.

I can dig it Wendell. Your assessment of the anomaly fits what Amos is referring to.
If Amos sees a lot of them, then unconventional eye doubling seems about right.
