Not sure what this is.Maybe a well placed gouge or chip ? First time posting pics from my scope so hopefully they come out OK. Any thoughts or comments appreciated.

It may be a die crack but I thought that section of the ear was beefier... It looks as if the ear was made incorrectly!!!
