What would you call this??

Yeah all! I saw this and would like a explanation of the cause. This is the Obverse of a 1983 Cent. ( Gouge? ) runs from about 2 oclock postion south west through Lincoln and to just below Liberty. This is 1 continuious Line but three pics so I could show it all with the scope cam. :LOL_Hair:

It looks like a large plating blister. I am not sure a die could easily be gouged or dented in all those areas at once...

I agree with Jason on this one. Looks like a plating issue.
