I see something that looks like an eyelash coming right out of the center of his eye,but the curvature looks wrong for a doubled eye.

I'm not sure what that is. The only other class IV type doubled die created with the single sqeeze hubbing process that I'm aware of is the famous 2006-WDDO-032/2006P-1DO-017/CDDO-028
From the image, I honestly can't say what's going on there. I believe it needs in-hand examination.
