I found this penny in our change at work. Looks like the copper plating was super thin on this one and for some reason, the letters seem extra fat along with Lincoln's ear missing detail. any ideas??? would the lettering be an error or post mint damage?

The coin shows heavy die wear, circulation wear and post strike damage on the reverse.

Looks like it could have been flattened in a press or smooth faced vise.
