View Full Version : What happened to this 06P?
I don't know what happened to this one. Lots of little sunk in spots. Is it a planchet problem, struck thru, or something else?

Are you sure it is sunk in. Or is it something on the coin, like syrup.

OK, somebody did want it for breakfast.:D I feel a little silly now, next time I'll look closer.

Wait until you get 2 coins stuck together and you can't get them apart because someone put syrup or resin on them. Being Obsessive is trying to get them apart to see what's on the other side of the coin(s). (LOL) Joe

No problem. This has gotten me excited a few times too. Hard to tell if it protrudes from the coin or it is a hole in the coin. Especially with a glare.
If I'd actually looked at the pics I took I'd seen it. With the loupe and scope they looked like holes. Oh well just a learning experience I guess.

I have to admit that I've been there and done that. That's what makes this hobby interesting. Joe

can we see both sides ?
it looks similar to some pennies i've found on the side of the roads being salted in the winter.

Nope, and there were some I couldn't even get apart even by soaking in warm/hot water. I suspect Super glue was involved. Glad to see OCD is among us who stop at nothing to find the right variety.:LOL_Hair:Happy Hunting!!!!!!!!!!!!! Joe
