Can anyone tell me if the wavy steps happened during the minting stage. Looking at it through naked eyes with a mag glass it is not a scratch going across the steps. However, there are scratches going up and down the steps.

It's seriously too hard to see the steps to tell if it is wavy.
You must give us a closer view...(I mean me...it's my eyes) :(

No Aisha, it's not you. We really need pics we can see. I really suggest putting coins of interest aside until you get the pictures down Lavent. Will be glad to help with that too.Just ask.

If you are referring to the gouge running through the steps from east to west, it is just that, a gouge on the face of the coin.

This is not a wavy step and yes, wavy step happen during the hubbing of the die. As to what you have, I did blow the picture up.
It is one of two things; post strike damage or struck through a foreign object, in this case a piece of wire.
