If you want to debate forum etiquette, there's no need. I certainly meant no disrespect to Mike, although I can see how my sarcasm might have been misconstrued as such. (Sorry Mike.)

Regarding the coin, that's the biggest gob of bubble-filled clear adhesive I've ever seen on a coin and my initial reaction was "How can that be mistaken for anything BUT glue..?"

I guess I overstated my emotions. My humblest apologies, again.

I searched a bag of Mems the other day that was full of these. I would say out of 5000 coins, 100-150 were like this, or heated or dipped or etc, etc. Don't give up, there are alot of interesting varieties out there that some might disregard as to minor or I don't collect that! It's all good for the person who finds something that's worth more than the 1C they paid for it!
