Okay I found this one and I just can't say for sure?? What do you all think?? RDV 006 or just RDV 005?

It does look like a RDV-006 to me. Or at least if I found this coin, I'd be heavily scrutinizing it.

Yes it also looks to me to be a RDV-006. Last photo is a little blurry but the details of the hook and extension are there. Let us know if you have it attributed.

I have doubts. If it is an 006 it is well abraded.MHO

i'd vote RDV-005

the reverse font style is also another way to tell

I don't believe it's an 006. There apparently was a reverse die that was just worn as I have a few of these...close, but no cigar.
If you want to double check, just go to Wexler's and check for markers...I still do that just to ease my mind.

Hope I'm wrong :tinysmile_hmm_t:

I am thinking RDV-005 also. The second pic was more convincing to me.

Okay I didn't know to go to Wexlars. Thanks. Well I don't see those die markers and It's questionable anyway so (005)! Thanks for your help. On to the next one!

With the new picture I would also say RDV-005.

I have come to the conclusion that this is an RDV-005. If I were still a betting man I would wager that this does not fit the parameters of the RDV-006. I am because of the second pic. Bob beat me to the draw again.

I must also thank Snowman, Maineman, Roller & Joe for the correct attribution. This is one variety that I have taken so many pictures of. I looked at some pics I kept and some have fooled me. I hope I can post a few of them one day. You guys certainly have this one in the bag. I am learning so much these past few days.

This is for sure one of the harder varities I am looking for. The wexlar page with the die markers will for sure be helpful! The initials are so small. Some you look at there is no question about it and some you just don't know??

So true engine. Even though I haven't sought out any of these yet, I think I may have come across one or two that was questionable, but from following everyone else on here, they seem very difficult to define.
