81-S Question

I think there is supposed to be a "filled" S and a "clear" S on the 81's. I suppose this is the filled S? First S mint i have found for 81. Is that correct about filled and clear? Thanks all! 36683

Come to think of it, I do not remember ever finding an 81S in all the coins I have searched. Being on the west coast I would think it more likely, but so far it hasn't proven to be the case.

Jean, that's probably because they are proof issue only.

I guess we never really answered your question ! It would be almost impossible to attribute this because of the wear on the coin. Not to mention the fact that it is an impaired proof so it would be collectable only as a novelty.
