    2011P DDOs

I have been looking at a few of the 2011P DDOs I have and the possible DDOs... I have noticed that even though they are not listed on CC that the cracks on the OBV/REV are similar in location on all the coins (Almost exact)... Could it be that the mint had a bad rod for making dies??? After the aneeling process the metal gets softer... Maybe to the point that during the hubbing process of the dies (Master making Working) the weak spots in the blank die cracked causing the DDs we see... Any thoughts... I have more thoughts but would like to know what others think of my theory!!!

    Hi,

Along the same lines. I was going through 2011 D rolls and I saw
some damage to the O on the reverse. I tossed it in the rejects.
two rolls later I found two more on the same damage. Pics attached.
curious that the damage is in the same place.
