I found a super shiny 1961 D Penny, good condition, I just wish my camera took macro shots so you can see what I am looking at.
Since I am learning still, and have been focusing a lot on the words and dates on the pennies I have not read much about doubling on the face. So I am not sure if this is anything special or not.

The doubling starts at the lower lip area, and continues up the nose and gets strong at the eye brow and ends there. And then a doubled looking line down his back. Again, I wish my camera could capture it. Based on my description what do you think?

Here is a picture of the front http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v213/karahbell/Pennies/1961DPennyFront.jpg
and the back http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v213/karahbell/Pennies/1961Dpenny.jpg

still going crossed eyed looking at all these pennies ... lol :tinysmile_hmm_t2:

Here is a better picture. I took a photo with my magnifying glass up to the camera lens... works pretty good. Now you can see the doubling on the nose up to the eyebrow.

Also do you see a double eye?

These are pretty common, I Believe it's a form PSD, Post Strike Damage, Maybe Ejection Doubling, Unfortunately Not A Doubled Die! :)

Definitely not a doubled die. It is definitely some type of MD. Nice eye though

I meant you did good to notice the doubling. Most people would miss that. That's why I said good eye. The eye on the coin looks good to. Lol
