Frebrd - You may be referring to what is actually a design element. Columns 1, 5, 8 and 12 have a "sister" columns... which in actuality are columns behind columns on the real Lincoln Memorial.
I believe Joe is right that there is a plating problem to the right of column 12...
I guess... had I actually read that whole "...to the EAST side" comment (from the original post), I might have had a better understanding of what was being referred to as the potential doubling. One more point in support of using arrows.
