    2005 D Die Chip ?

    Hi Again,

I'm not sure but it looks like a die chip but then again I'm frequently wrong.
It is raised from the surface.

Can't tell. Not your normal placement for a chip, though.

Where? the nose? If so, it kind of looks like a plating blister or bubble. Did you press down on it?

I tried to push down on it with a toothpick but it
slides off. I think it is pretty solid.

Looks much more like a plating blister than a die break. I am not convinced poking at bubbles always gives it away, so it may be a blister. I would keep it to the side and not toss it. Are there any die cracks, even small ones approaching the anomaly?

If it is a deep gas bubble it will not collapse until it blows out... I am leaning toward a deep bubble!!!

I don't know. All I see that looks remotely like what we're talking about appear to be stains.
