Hi All.

This is about the only even remotely interesting piece that I found in the little collection I picked up the other day. (I guess you can't really expect all that much when, in all likelihood, someone has already examined everything in there. LOL)

Anyway, I don't really know what to make of this one. A smart guy like me already ruled out plating. :)

Take a look and have a great rest-o-the-weekend.

It is the same as the 1955 Poor Man's Doubled die and it is caused by die deterioration. You will find it a lot on 1953-1955 cents.

That's die deterioration George. Just like the 1955 poor man's doubled die. Sorry the album of coins didn't work out any better for you.

I guess you could put it that way George. Some of these get pretty extreme as the die continues to deteriorate.

George, just remember, "poor man's" is just a gimmick used to sell basically worthless 1955 cents.
