This is a 1991 P LMC with, I suspect, two extra eyelids from the upper and the lower portion of Abe's eyes; a tilted towards the southwest and the other towards the southeast. May I hear your humble opinion in identifying this variety if it really belongs to this type?

Those do not appear to have the characteristics of doubled eyelids from previous years. It is my opinion that these may be gas bubbles.

I would have to go with gas bubbles also.

Take a look at the class 4 obverse doubled eyelids on 1940s through 1960s on coppercoins.com or other filing systems. You will see plenty of examples there.
Did you check it for gas bubbles yet?

It really seems that the phenomena of class IV doubled eyelids was confined to an earlier time with a slightly different obverse - maybe it was the design or the hubbing equipment, but the doubled eyelids seem to have stopped in the late '60s. 1966 DDO-001 and 1995-D DDO-003 (both class V) show doubling on the eyelid, but it a different set of reasons for their creation.

In this case, as observed previously, the anomalies appear to be plating blisters (gas bubbles). Their odd shape coupled with strong linear plating blisters in the fields are strong evidence that they are too plating blisters. Plating blisters appear to emerge during the strike itself and are caused from heat and contaminates under the plating.
