As per the last several milestones, I yet again have a contest. Hopefully this one is easier than the last. I have three coins (1., 2., & 3.) below: describe each one.
You can be simple or complex. If you are an expert on error coins - wait until I post the answers to chime in :tinysmile_twink_t:
Guess - have fun - and thanks LCR for being such a great place!

1.) off center strike that streched or i would say with killer trails.
2.)broad strike.
3.) Thin planchet? brockage?
Im just a die chip guy so these are wild to me. But at least someone might get this right and we all can learn from these examples.

1. Yep!
2. That explains why I could not figure out what happened.
3 Just for my info, how do you tell it is a thin planchet versus an adjustment strike from a picture.

Without knowing the weight (or seeing a pic from the side) I would admit it is hard - I would look for the absence of proto-rims - and then judge the character of the metal to see if it was a split planchet or a rolled-thin planchet.

My guess would have been thin planchet, but I am not exactly sure why
