Funny thing, this showing up in my scope today. Its not an exact match, except for the C in cent. Almost a dead ringer. The marker on the back of Lincolns head is not quite as severe, but the lines completely encompass the whole coin, even in the coat. Could it be an earlier die state mabe? What do you guys think? Thankfullness:tinysmile_classes_t Tom

Well look at that! All indications are that it is indeed 015 (HERE (http://www.lincolncentresource.net/forums/showthread.php?t=15154&highlight=lathe) is my post for it). It hasn't been common that lathe line examples matched one in the files, and I never seen one appear this quickly. It's a nice strong example - congrats!

Does LL command a premium too?

The most I have seen a Lincoln cent LL go for was around $25. On a bad day .99¢ and there are more bad days than good days. There is a Kennedy LL on eBay, priced in the hundreds. The seller emailed me with pics but wouldn't send it in for me to add to my files. I have no idea where he got that price. I don't see the LLs ever going for crazy amounts of $$, but ya never know...

That price is not bad for an LL. That's a lot of Lays potato chips to buy with. Do you attribute error coins like this too?

Issues with my old computer are hampering uploading of the pics onto my server. I need Dreamweaver on my laptop! Ugh...

UPDATE: ErrorVariety.com has been updated.

I have sold several LL on ebay, 5 to 10 dollars. I just found one today (have not yet attributed it) looks at first glance like LL15. It has 14 lines on the date side showing although the rings go all the way around the coin. I have 60 that needs attributed at present, will try to get pics and post this week.

Wow Cindy...60??? Man I'm getting a headache just thinking about it.
But you know what? JC makes attributing a match easy because of the way he describes the markers. IMO.
