what happened to these?

I'll take a guess at Coin pictured in 1-2 had a plating problem (gas bubbles, plating deterioration ,etc:) which was further helped after circulation by either chemicals or other means. I take the 3rd picture is the reverse of the coin?

Pictures 4-5 show a coin first off that has been spray painted silver and or purple. The damage is post mint with the use of pliers, hammer (flat edge) or vise or some other tool. Damage looks to be intentional. This is just a guess and could be many things but it all adds up to damage to both coins after being put into circulation.

Alot of plastic toy cents - must be from a game or a promotion.

They are from toy bins of the Dollar store or Dollar General :squigglemouth: I think or they look like them
