This is a 1980 D cent. Is this a D over D or simple machine doubling?

It looks more like shelf doubling (MD). I looked in all my references early this A.M. and could not find anything similar, however that doesn't mean anything. Well there is my stab at it. Come on MM Guru's, I don't collect very many of these, Maybe I should (LOL).

I agree that it is not an RPM. Looks like a combination of MD, and a hit on the mintmark.
