1972 D bu Lincoln maybe DDO?

    This 72D is business uncirculated.
The doubling I see on the very top of the 972 seems to actually be three strikes rather that the two I can see from the front.
Under the high magnification I noticed that part of the rim may also be doubled.
Searching all my books and what I could access on the web, I have not been able to find a reference to this coin... that is *IF* it even is a DDO.
Let me know what you think.

I believe that you have a bit of machine doubling mixed in with master die doubling. Both are fairly common on this date.

On the top of the numbers I can see three distinct layers... one on top of the other.
I *think* the 2 has notching.. but I cannot get a decent photograph of it. Even my QX5 isn't up to the task.
I am going to keep the coin and provide it with a proper resting place anyway.

QX5? Thats what I have too. I like it a lot. Easy to use, good magnification.

I just wish it had better resolution. More pixels I think for clearer pictures of subtle varieties and doubling.
