Any Paper Note Experts? Confederate 50 Cent Note, Real or Fake?
It has the making of being real. I collect paper too. I like the red ink over the counterfeit black ( usually black ) ink. Check the paper for red and blue fibers. thats another good test. ( not all confederate money has that but some do).

Did a thourough look for any red or blue fibers, didnt really find any, did find one red line inside Davis's potrait, although it looks more like a misplaced serial number stamp than a fiber.
Not sure about the horizontal lines, Im not sure how it was stored, picked it up in a junk auction on ebay (came with a pretty awesome sword as well, probably go and sell the sword and make my money back on the auction). Since it came from ebay it had me a little worried, but so far everything checks out.....
Edited and Edited to add: And while I'm at it, here is a "USA UNITED STATES BANKNOTE CONFEDERATE" one for sale, same one. Somebody doesn't know their history!
