Check this out everybody, It's just crazy. Almost looks to be a genuine error. looks like a little vertigris on it to. This is way to bizaar for me , so I'm leaving all the explainations to the "Top Notches" here at the LCR. Can't wait to hear what everyone thinks....... Tom
It does look like a genuine mint error to me. I guess an extra layer of metal was somehow placed on the planchet, and then it was stamped with the die. That's my non-specific best guess.

IMO, By looking at your photos it looks to be glue residue or epoxy on the coin.
Well Crap, the only thing I've found in a month turned out to be just that.A little finger nail polish remover answered that question, bummer. Should have done that before I made myself look like a total idiot. Geeze! Tom
Tom don't be so hard on yourself we all have been there and done that. I write that off to excitement, it only gets worse before it gets better. Something big will come your way. Keep praying and search a lot.
Yup, Glue for sure!!! Back in the day it was cool to glue them to posterboard, try the acetone trick, should clean that right off!! Get's Your Attention Everytime!

We have all done the same thing one time or the other. I have done it with clear nail polish on the coin....
I thought I had a big cud a month or so ago which was also glue LOL. Ya just have to see it once, learn from the pros here, and it's logged into the memory bank! Bill
I always keep acetone around for such occassions. Don't worry, glue has fooled almost every collector at one time or another..and will continue to do so. You have now officially joined our club
