Hello again,
October was a very good month to me and I was able to score some huge pickups from my local credit union to the tune of 10 $50 bags. Several of these bags averaged nearly 70% copper and were also loaded with early 80's bu zincs.
I can't believe the number of older coins being recycled due to this economy and I also can't help but feel very sorry for people that might be living on literally their last pennies. Still, the life of a variety addict must go on and it is my mission to save cool coins from zinc rot, road rash and coin counter or other abuse:)!
I have finally begun checking everything under the scope and I made some great finds last night which I could not help but share. The best one was my first 1997 DD0#1 (Doubled ear)! This is a coin I felt I would never find in circulation so far from Philadelphia. Shortly after finding that, I pulled my first 1998 WAM in nearly a year! Whomever turned in these coins, must have had an East Coast connection!
Other highlights so far include a nice 1960-D RPM#14 and a 1981-D RPM#1. Any one of these finds would have made my night, but combined together, my month is made!
Hopefully, this will encourage all of you to keep searching for as we all know, treasures are out there including this website!!
Have a great week everyone!
