Found this today. Maybe a double ear. At first it look like maybe a die chip but looking closer I think I see a low ear lope.
Any thoughts.

Here is another one I found but seems to have a die break on the bottom of the ear lope.Also maybe a 2nd ear lope. Maybe nothing.

Frank this one is very difficult to attribute and needs more a close up in hand examination.

Looks like a bob piazza coin to attribute - he is an expert on 1044 stuff.

Difficult to say on circulated coinage Frank. I really don't see anything conclusive on either coin, but that certainly doesn't mean there isn't anything there.
