I came across a second example of this 1993D the other day and would like your input on it. The bottom, right corner of the memorial building has what could be a gouge or possibly doubling of the bottom of the building. I’m leaning towards a gouge because it seems a little long, but I thought I would throw it out there and see what everyone thinks. The arrows in the close-ups point out the markers as each are from the same die.
Thanks in advance for your opinions.
Rick

Doesn't match other details and there's no other doubling anywhere around to match it. So it cannot be hub doubling. It's a die gouge, possibly caused by feeder finger damage.

Thanks for the confirmation on this, I agree with it being a gouge of some type. Although IMHO, I do disagree with feeder fingers being the cause. The angle isn't right.

I believe the 2nd pic is of most interest... You have 1 line and what appears to be the bottom loop of the "G"... The marks at the west end are die abrasions... IMHO this could be a DD... Maybe a class 8... But then again I have been wrong in the past or was that in the future... LOL!!!

Both are in relief.

In that case I'd call for a ddr on the Memorial.
