It's been ten years or so since finding my last one. IMHO it is underrated.

Excellent find! Now if you can move some of those coins down here to eastern PA, that'd be great!

Yuuup! I like the 1964 DDR. We found one a couple years ago and it's good to see there out there 47 years later!
Nice find!

This is just the thread I was waiting for---
(I hope I'm not jacking your thread George- I though the topics were so similar that it'd be okay.)

There are 2 major DDRs for 1964. The above pictured and the Die #58. I'm very curious as to other's experiences in CHERRYPICKING both varieties.

Personally- I have found approximately 12 Die #58s (with doubling showing strongest on ONE CENT)- 2 in the last 2 weeks.

For Die #1 (Shown above) I have NEVER picked an example. I've bought upwards of 10 or more, but never found one.

What are other's experiences?

By the Koinmon- Stellar find, I've never been so lucky!!

I have found 1 about a year ago. DDR # 1, I posted pic of it here but able to bring up pics. if you search the site my post is there. Mines in Au . That's the only one I ever found. Tlc varieties , on eBay had one listed sometime ago in a anacs holder 64, for 160 bucks. I was surprised that was all the more it was worth.

I'm not familiar with Die #58, at least i don't think so. Do you have a link to a photo Chris so we can see what it looks like?

WOW- Can that even be true??

I was going to post a link to CC.com but it's not listed. Check your Cherrypicker's Guide, as it's listed prominently. Doubling shows dramatically on ONE CENT and OF AMERICA.

Found 3, bought and sold about a dozen of them over the years.

As for the other die - I may even have one, but do not know where to get verifiable images and info on it so I could cross reference what I have to the correct die.

George It could only be you to find dies like this one. You dig them up wherever they are. Congrats on your find. Very special

Chuck- I'd be happy to send an example to you or Bob to get it on CC. The ones I have are MDS, EDS is really the impressive state, but very tough to come by.

Chris, I will take you up on that offer to get it on the coppercoins site. Would you be all right with sending it to me shortly after the new year?
