a bit, for a closer look. All 3 coins are 1989. I had posted an 89 with crazy abrasion a while back. Been going back and forth, and what are the changes I get 3 89 with reverse 88 right? ...or at all for that matter. But tonight I wondered what your more experienced eyes see in these as I dont see much abrasion. Are these all still caused by abrasion? Just wanted to make sure before I bucket them back to the bank. Thank you.

Wow, busy, these are neat. I definitely think all three are the correct RDV-006 (reverse of 89). However, they are very abraded. The most interesting one is the middle, #2. It looks like the best candidate for a RDV-005, but I still think the hook of the G reaches out too far. Nice eye though!

Funny that the #2 caught your eye, it did mine too. Thank you.

I agree that #1 & #3 are 006. But #2 stands a chance. Sean, the upper hook of the G should extend too far if it is to be an RDV-005.

Is there a 1989 with a 1988 reverse? I think I say it was no - but I just don't know. That would be worth alot. Dream!

I had a whole roll of these. Im still looking them through tho. I keep putting them aside and letting my eye rest a bit and keep going back to them. Some I have already eliminated. But the rest I keep looking them through. When I think my brain is playing tricks on my I put them aside and rest, lol.

You're right, it could stand a chance. I was think that an -005 should have the upper hook "umbrella" the lower hook more. The lower hook looks like it would get we if it were raining.

I think they are all RDV-006. I don't seem to see anything really significant about the middle coin. They have definitive abrasion. I remember finding WAMs which I later discovered were simply dies that had been abraded heavily around the AM region.

All have been heavily abraided coins so they have would be categorized like the abraided FG shown on Variety Vista.

Heavy abrasion plus a fair deal of die deterioration!!!
