1982P LMC 1 DO-002 or "New find?"

Found this 1982P LMC DDO earlier today.

It's not matching any die markers for the 82P DO-002. The die scratches/cracks are different and there is a real nice die crack on the reverse from below the FG initials into the base of the lincoln memorial. (Picture # 6)

I also do not see any remnant of a die clash in Bay 3 on the reverse as indicated on coppercoins for the 82P DO-002.


Could this possibly be a new die find?

Would any member that has one of the 82P DO-002 mind checking the reverse for the die crack below the FG initials?

I have four of these. The obverse doubling does indeed look like the doubled die you refer to. The reverse very well may have been changed out. None of my copies show the prominent die crack.

I've been concentrating mostly on half dollar box roll searching , so it's nice to find a lincoln variety etc especially since I've scaled back the volume of rolls on cents searching.
